🚨 2023-24 HP Arts Award Nominations are now open! Submit for your favorite teachers and arts advocate by Friday, January 5.

FINE ARTS TEACHER OF THE YEAR AWARD 💰
A teacher who uses creativity and innovation in the classroom.
A teacher who guides all students regardless of abilities to achieve excellence
A teacher who demonstrated outstanding leadership and excellence in teaching

ARTS IN EDUCATION TEACHER OF THE YEAR AWARD 💰
A teacher who is using a form of the fine arts to enhance or complement their regular syllabus
A teacher who enriches the educational experience through the incorporation of the arts in the daily classroom either by including specific events or weaving the arts into their curriculum.
THIS AWARD IS FOR A NON-FINE ARTS TEACHER

ARTS ADVOCATE OF THE YEAR AWARD 🙌
A patron of the HP Arts (not necessary to have served on the board)
Has multiple years of involvement in the arts of HPISD
Stands out as a true advocate of the arts.
Is not a current HP Arts board member and not a current President of an HPISD fine arts booster club.

We are proud to fund new practice drum pads and stands for the MIS/HPMS Raider Band. 🥁

The drumslinger drum pads feel like a real drum and will help seamlessly transition students to an actual drum snare. The new stands keep the pads steady and at the right height. We can’t wait to hear the beats of these new drummers! ❤️💛

Bravo!! 🙌 We’re delighted to have funded the MIS/HPMS choir field trip to the Dallas Opera to see Pepito. Students got to have a 20 minute "behind the scenes" discussion with the cast and production staff. What a FANTASTIC introduction to opera!

We are proud to fund new safety materials and tools for the HPHS Tech Theatre Program. We are delighted to hear that the program has grown and is giving more students opportunities to participate and learn new skills. Plus, they built a pretty awesome set for Chicago! ✨
